Peasmarsh Chamber Music Festival at Wigmore Hall – January 2027

On Sunday 10 January 2027 at 7.30pm, the Peasmarsh Chamber Music Festival presents a landmark evening at Wigmore Hall, featuring the world première of Mark Simpson’s new violin duo, performed by Anthony Marwood and Alexi Kenney. The programme also includes Thomas Adès’s Clarinet Quintet Alchymia — written for and premiered by Simpson in 2021 — and Brahms’s Piano Quintet in F minor, Op. 34. Festival co-Artistic Directors Marwood and Richard Lester are joined by pianist Alasdair Beatson, violist Yura Lee, and Simpson himself on basset clarinet. Friends and Patrons of the Festival get priority booking from 28 September, ahead of general release on 29 September.
