We’re delighted to announce the programme for the 2024 Peasmarsh Chamber Music Festival, running from Thursday 27 – Sunday 30 June. As ever, Anthony and Richard have put together some wonderful concerts, and we have a superlative group of guest artists joining us. The 2024 guest artists are pianists Alistair Beatson and Chaeyoung Park, violist Eivind Ringstad, violinist Pablo Hernán Benedí and the award-winning Barbican Quartet. We are also pleased to be welcoming back the Britten Sinfonia for the orchestral concert on Friday evening featuring Anthony and Richard as soloists.
Our programme this year includes works by familiar composers including Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert, Schumann and Brahms, as well as some wonderful but less well-known works by Ligeti, Mieczyslaw Weinberg and Florence Price. We hope there is something for everyone to enjoy amongst our nine Festival concerts.
As ever, we are delighted to be working with five local primary schools, bringing inspirational composing workshops to 150 children with animateur Sam Glazer.
