Wigmore Hall

Artists

  • Alasdair Beatson – PIANO
  • Alexi Kenney – VIOLIN
  • Anthony Marwood – VIOLIN
  • Yura Lee – VIOLA
  • Richard Lester – CELLO
  • Mark Simpson – BASSET CLARINET/ COMPOSER

We are very much looking forward to the première of Mark Simpson’s violin duo – performed by Anthony Marwood and Alexi Kenney. This new work is the second, in our series of three, that the Peasmarsh Chamber Music Festival has been able to commission thanks to generous legacies left to the Festival.

We are delighted that this new work will be first heard at the Wigmore Hall, in a programme including Thomas Adès Clarinet Quintet Alchymia (written for, and premiered by, Mark Simpson in 2021), and Brahms Piano Quintet in F minor, Op. 34. We are thrilled that Festival co-Artistic Directors, Anthony Marwood and Richard Lester, are joined by a plethora of wonderful artists for this concert.

The Wigmore Hall has kindly agreed a priority booking window for Friends and Patrons of the Peasmarsh Festival which opens on 28 September, ahead of booking opening to the general public on 29 September.

Instructions will follow later in September on how PCMF F&Ps can access their priority booking window. In the meantime, visit our website for more information about how you can become a Friend or Patron of the Festival.
