Description
Bringing the 2026 Festival to a close, our programme travels from Bach to Shostakovich, showcasing the genius of these composers across 250 years of musical development. The second half of the programme is dedicated to Tchaikovsky’s string sextet ‘Souvenir de Florence’ which the composer began whilst he was visiting the Italian city. The Russian folk music themes of the final two movements of this work promise to send us away cheered and rejuvenated.
